Siren Music Festival 2007, Coney Island’s seventh annual free all-day, all-ages music extravaganza hosted by New York City’s alt-weekly the Village Voice, is on July 21st.
The festival’s bill includes the New York Dolls, M.I.A., Cursive, We Are Scientists, Voxtrot, Matt and Kim, Black Lips, Dr. Dog, Noisettes, Lavender Diamond, the Detroit Cobras, Elvis Perkins in Dearland, the Twilight Sad, and White Rabbits. DJs Gibby Haynes and Tarts of Pleasure both will be spinning throughout the event.
Head out to Coney Island this summer and enjoy a stroll down the boardwalk, a Famous Nathan’s hot dog, a cool drink by the seaside, a scary-as-hell whip around the Cyclone rollercoaster, and the smorgasbord of tunes set to blare from the park July 21st, for Coney Island’s vintage sentiment and free music won’t last forever.http://www.spin.com/features/news/2007/06/070628_siren/
