Efforts are under way to commission a new pair of sneakers inspired by Joy Division.
Inspired by the band’s seminal 1979 debut Unknown Pleasures, the shoe’s design will incorporate the album cover’s trademark ripples in the sole and tongue, as well as the FACT 10 stamp commemorating the album’s Factory Records catalog number.
They have been designed by American artist Dylan Adair and New Balance is currently awaiting the greenlight to distribute.
