In Memory of Syd Barrett

A tribute concert to the late Roger “Syd” Barrett saw Pink Floyd survivors David Gilmour, Roger Waters, Nick Mason and Richard Wright appear on stage at the London Barbican venue.

While Gilmour, Mason and Wright performed one Barrett’s earliest hits and best-known songs “Arnold Layne,” Waters helmed a solo version of his own “Flickering Flame.” Other performers on the night were Pretender Chrissy Hynde, Blur and Gorillaz mastermind Damon Albarn and Soft Boy Robyn Hitchcock. The event culminated with an all-star finale of “Bike” from the 1967 Floyd album Piper at the Gates of Dawn.
