The Starting Line Return: New Label, New Record

After nearly two years of writing and woodshedding, modern rockers The Starting Line are set to deliver Direction, their debut for Virgin Records. Now three records in, the Churchville, PA-based quartet — vocalist/bassist Kenny Vasoli, guitarists Matt Watts and Mike Golla and drummer Tom Gryskewicz — will release Direction to both stores and digitally on July 31st, at which point, the band’s touring schedule will kick into high gear.

The album was produced by Grammy® nominee Howard Benson, whose impeccable rock credentials include Relient K, All-American Rejects and My Chemical Romance, among others. Benson first worked with the band on a couple of songs from TSL’s last album, 2005’s Based on a True Story, their major-label bow for Geffen after the 2002 debut, Say It Like You Mean It, on indie Drive-Thru.
