The Free Yr Radio tour, a free in-store concert series hosted by Urban Outfitters, will be highlighted by indie rock favorites. Dinosaur Jr., the Rapture, Long Winters, Tapes ‘N Tapes, the Ponys, Rogue Wave, the Klaxons and Voxtrot are set to perform.
The tour was conceived through a brand partnership between Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A. and Urban Outfitters in an effort to support non-commercial radio. Non-commercial stations, in turn, co-present each gig and receive proceeds from a Free Yr Radio compilation CD to be released at the end of the campaign. In addition, participating stations will give away a new Toyota Yaris to a listener.
Four additional as-yet-unannounced markets through July 21. Additional acts will be announced in the near future. Individual show invites can be printed from the Free Yr Radio Web site.
