Jarvis Cocker, the former frontman of Pulp, has issued a personal invitation for local bands to support him on his upcoming tour of North America.
In his blog, he writes “We are playing in North America soon & need support bands for New York (2 shows), San Francisco, Seattle & Vancouver – do you think you could help?”
Cocker has asked to be contacted by any interested bands directly and will handpick opening acts for each of his six Stateside shows.
Jarvis’s self-titled debut album will be released in America on April 3rd.
He will perform in the following cities:
April 22-23 New York, NY Webster Hall
April 27 Indio, CA Coachella Festival
April 28 San Francisco, CA Fillmore
April 30 Seattle, WA Showbox
May 1 Vancouver, BC Commodore
