MySpace Gives Back

MySpace is promoting twenty concerts to benefit humanitarian organizations working in Sudan. The Darfur region of Sudan has particularly come into the news as a hotspot of conflict between the Sudanese government and rebel forces. Nearly a quarter of a million people have been killed in the conflict.

The MySpace shows will all take place on October 21 with different headliners showcased in different cities. Bands include TV on the Radio, Alice in Chains, Ziggy Marley, Citizen Cope, Gov’t Mule, and Insane Clown Posse. A portion of the proceeds will be donated directly to Oxfam.http://www.billboard.com/bbcom/news/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1003222616
