Tom Morello Fights for What’s Right

Tom Morello took part in a peaceful protest in support of the rights of immigrant hotel workers outside of Los Angeles Airport on Thursday, and, along with 400 other participants, was quitely arrested.

Says Morello, “In these political dark ages, it’s important for us to stand up for one another. These hotel workers by the airport make twenty percent less wages than hotel workers around the rest of Los Angeles. We’re here to express our solidarity with them, to help them unionize, and to help them close the gap between their sub-poverty wages and the millions and millions of dollars the people who own these hotels make.”

Morello spent the night in jail and then posted the $5,000 bail for his release.http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1542001/20060928/audioslave.jhtml?headlines=true
