The Confessions tour has become the highest-grossing tour ever by a female artist, earning Madonna a place in industry history. The title was previously held by Cher, who made $192.5 million by performing 273 shows over the course of three years as part of her Farewell tour. Madonna earned her $193.7 in only sixty shows over the past year.
