Supernova Super-Sued

A federal court has sided with Supernova From Cynot3 in their case against the reality TV band of slightly better known musicians using the simpler “Supernova” as their moniker. The original Supernova has been in existance for seventeen years and was quick to defend their trademark rights on the name.

The reality show band cannot go forward with their plans to perform, record, or sell music under the name Supernova until a trial or another court order takes place.

Supernova From Cynot3 has released four albums and hit a career high when their song “Chewbacca” was used in Kevin Smith’s debut film Clerks.http://www.billboard.com/bbcom/news/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1003121382
