Harry Connick, Jr. is set to release “All These People” on August 29th. Performed in duet with Kim Burrell, the song was written and composed by Connick after visiting his native city within days of the catastrophe. “The song is about the people who were left stranded at the convention center,” explains Connick. The single will be released on the one-year anniversary of Katrina via iTunes as the lead single from Connick’s forthcoming New Orleans big band album, Oh My NOLA. All proceeds from the single, “All These People” will benefit New Orleans Habitat Musicians’ Village.
