Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, and the estates of John Lennon and George Harrison as owners of Apple Corps, their record company, have lost the trademark infringement case they had brought against Apple Computer. The two entities had arranged a 1991 trademark agreement that Apple Corp claimed the computer company breached when it moved into digital music with iTunes. A UK judge ruled that the computer company used the trademark in conjunction with the iTunes Music Store, and not the music it sold, thus keeping it within the terms of the agreement. Steve Jobs holds no hard feelings towards the four legendary musicians. “We have always loved the Beatles,” Jobs said, “and hopefully we can now work together to get them on the iTunes Music Store.”http://www.billboard.com/bbcom/news/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1002464164
