Korn will be kicking off their spring tour behind See You on the Other Side with Mudvayne and 10 Years at the end of February in California. Making this outing unique is the deal Korn struck with EMI and their concert promoter, Live Nation. The three parties are investing in each other, giving all an interest in the other’s success. EMI invested $25 million in the band; Korn gave EMI a 30% claim over all their future business. Live Nation also has an investment in Korn’s career while the band will be receiving a cut of Live Nation’s profits from ancillaries such as venue concessions. Those involved are hoping the deal will be first of many between artists, labels, and promoters, as a struggling industry attempts to find new ways to make up for lost revenue.http://www.billboard.com/bbcom/news/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1001844094
