Video director Paul Rachman and writer Steven Blush have joined forces to create American Hardcore: The History of American Punk Rock 1980-1986, a documentary featuring vintage footage of bands the likes of Minor Threat, Black Flag, Bad Brains, MDC, and Suicidal Tendencies. Blush first wrote a book, American Hardcore, after two television series on the subject left him unsatisfied. Upon finishing the book in 2001, he and Rachman set out collecting interviews, footage, and photographs on the early to mid-80s punk scene. The film will debut at Sundance later this month.http://www.billboard.com/bbcom/news/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1001807212
