Cecilia Gonzalez, the Chicago mother who rejected the RIAA’s settlement offer of $3,500 after she was charged with illegally downloading music, lost her case in front of a federal appeals court on Friday. The panel of three judges denied Gonzalez’s claim that she was “sampling” music with the intent of purchasing songs later. She has been ordered to pay $750 per song for a total of $22,500.http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20051210/ap_en_mu/downloading_music;_ylt=AlsJ2DSTopPvD47jTXm8CEAIHL8C;_ylu=X3oDMTBiMW04NW9mBHNlYwMlJVRPUCUl
