Legendary New York punk rock club CBGB has announced that it will close for good next Halloween. The club has been fighting its landlord, Bowery Residents Committee, for the past five years over unpaid backrent. Club owner Hilly Kristal is planning a month-long goodbye celebration and is also looking at other lower Manhattan spaces to reopen. He admits that a new club wouldn’t be the same, but it would “have the same ingredients.”http://www.billboard.com/bbcom/news/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1001656944
