Coldplay developed a website as a clever means of divulging their upcoming tour dates. For every 33,000 hits TalkTheTour.com received, a new tour date would be revealed. They expected the tour to unfold over the course of a week or so. Seventy-two hours after the site was launched, however, more than half the dates had come up in a less-than-organized manner. Capitol Records responded by putting out a press release to officially announce the tour and the opening acts, (Fiona Apple and Richard Ashcroft). The tour runs across North America between January 25 and April 6 and will hit twenty-four cities.http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1513360/20051109/coldplay.jhtml?headlines=true
