Jeff Magnum, estranged leader of 90s indie rock greats Neutral Milk Hotel, made an extremely rare public appearance Tuesday night. Magnum joined Olivia Tremor Control, longtime band friends, onstage in New York. He joined the OTC to sing on “I Have Been Floated.” The public reunion was reportedly very emotional and was warmly received by the audience. Magnum hasn’t performed publicly since the release of NMH’s 1998 album, In the Aeroplane Over the Sea.http://www.billboard.com/bb/daily/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1001002224
