Lollapalooza Kicks Off

The new one-stop Lollapalooza show began Saturday morning in Chicago to an audience of about 33,000 people. Headlining the July 23 show were Weezer and Digable Planets with performances by the Pixies, Primus, the Bravery, and Liz Phair. The event featured five stages under the Chicago skyline. Founder Perry Farrell has stated that there are no definite plans for next year’s Lollapalooza at this time.
