Nike recently angered the Washington DC icon punk band Minor Threat, it’s label, Dischord, and fans when it co-opted the cover art of the band’s 1981 self-titled EP and logo to advertise their “Major Threat” skateboarding tour. The company has since issued a formal apology, admitting their error in going forward with the campaign without the band’s permission. Nike is now attempting to remove all promotional items featuring the artwork.http://www.nike.com/nikeskateboarding/v2/letter/index.html
