Beatallica, a band that plays Beatles songs through a Metallica filter, was officially ordered by Sony, owner of the Beatles catalog, to take their alledgedly copyright-infringing songs off their website and to pay damages. The band claims they are not in violation of any law as their songs are parodies, which are protected by copyright law.http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1497720/20050303/metallica.jhtml?headlines=true
