Attention all humans! The face of music as you know it is about to be chewed up, spit out, flipped around, and skewed in all sorts of directions by an auditory hurricane coming your way. This is the warning being issued by the Network, a mysterious quintet claiming to have been brought together from the corners of the Earth by an ancient prophecy that predicted their irresistible grooves and rise to worldly power. Okay, so global dominance is a little unrealistic, but the identities of these new-wave rockers are a serious conundrum. During live shows, the five attack their instruments in bright colored warm-ups and masks to avoid showing their faces to humans.Although no one is absolutely sure, the consensus is that the Network features all three members of Green Day, going under the names Fink, Van Gough, and The Snoo, as well as two members of 80’s legend Devo, answering to Captain Underpants and Z.

Unfortunately the Network’s lore is most likely fabricated (read it all at www.adelinerecords.net), but their promise to amaze with music holds true. Money Money 2020 is a 30 minute blaze of innovation, mixing garage rock guitar work, funky beats, and new wave synthesizers and voice distortions to create something along the lines of a Le Tigre and Strokes sandwich on Knack bread. Don’t expect another Green Day album; the Network’s hyper tunes are witty and sarcastic, featuring experiments with unconventional instruments such as toy sirens and telephones while bounding amongst topics such as starving runway models and living robots. Be careful, for after a few songs you too might fall under the control of the Network.
