In rare concert performance on December 13th, ex-Fugee and now solo star Lauryn Hill brought her acoustic melodies to the Vatican. However, Hill came armed with more than her soulful lyrics as she used to her on-stage time to lash out the Catholic Church.
According to MTV.com, Hill read a statement criticizing the church and launched into a tirade against abusive priests, stating, “I realize some of you may be offended by what I’m saying, but what do you say to the families who were betrayed by the people in whom they believed?”
