Hilary Duff – Metamorphosis

Hilary Duff Having Alien’s Baby!

There are about fifty thousand girls that could be Hilary Duff. She’s cute, she’s friendly, and a tablespoon of her spit is worth about four grand in cash. With TV, movie deals, promos, and magazines wrapped around her finger, what should obviously come next but to recklessly pile her name onto an overflowing trash heap of teen girl pop stars who don’t write their own songs and hide high notes behind electronically produced hooks?Duff’s recent release, Metamorphosis, which she can neither spell nor pronounce, does not show that young Hilary has in fact changed from who she was when we were introduced to her as Lizzy McGuire, her TV alter-ego whose main concerns are being grounded and learning the true meaning of friendship episode after episode after episode. Metamorphosis is a thirteen track bubblegum pop sampler that Duff’s squeaky voice was glued on top of. She takes no writing credits; she’s just a kid!
Perhaps Metamorphosis refers to the change she experienced growing from larva to pupa to brain-eating lizard while she was hatching from her egg years ago. It does not represent her change from teen star to “noticeable adult talent.”
