Intel and Vice’s global arts and technology driven event will be in Paris, France showcasing filmmaker Chris Milk’s works from June 19th through the 24th at the Centquatre. He will be showcasing his “The Treachery of Sanctuary,” which is a large-scaled interactive triptych and is powered by the viewers and motion-sensing kinetics, along with a brand new studio produced, custom light show by 1024 Architecture with featured music by Jamie xx, Four Tet and Caribou, running on real time to their shows.
In the 2011 Coachella Festival, Milk’s works was seen alongside Arcade Fire’s song “Wake Up,” creating a new concert experience for the attendees. He has also previously worked with Kanye West, U2 and the Chemical Brothers.
Along with 1024 Architecture’s light display, Intel engineer Doug Carmean is bringing his “#Creators Live” piece to Paris. Collaborating with California based design group Social Print Studio, this piece uses Intragram photographs and allows viewers to interact with them.
Besides the featured acts, the Creators Project will host a variety of workshops including a sneak preview of 1024 Architecture’s Studio-produced installation on June 19th, along with other local artists, filmmakers and engineers. French producer Philipper Zdar of Cassius will be one of the featured speakers.
The first showcase was held at The Creators Project’s 2012 San Francisco event this past March, instantly becoming a hit.
