Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros have just announced the title for their forthcoming release. The album, Here, is set to hit stores in May 29, 2012. The band will be making an appearance at SXSW 2012 in support of their highly anticipated documentary, and will be kicking off a nationwide tour in March.
Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros’ sophomore release, Here, is a self-produced endeavor. The album will be released by Community Music/Vagrant Records in May. After spending the last couple months working on the finishing touches in Ojai, CA, they are happy to announce release plans.
Those attending SXSW 2012 can catch Edward Sharp and the Magnetic Zeros, along with Mumford & Sons and Old Crow Medicine Show at the Film Conference and Festival on Saturday, March 17 for the world premiere of Big Easy Express. The film was directed by Emmett Malloy and covers the bands’ tour as they traveled across the American Southwest in vintage railcars. The bands will also be playing an exclusive live acoustic set on that date in support of the film.
