Despite nearly constant touring and just over a year’s lapse since their latest album, The Black Keys have confirmed that their seventh album will be hitting shelves by the end of the year.
While singer Dan Auerbach has warned fans not to expect a duplicate of the album’s predecessor, Brothers, they can look forward to a more fast-paced rock n’ roll vibe tied in with the band’s usual bluesy sound.
The Cramps, The Clash, and The Rolling stones were the main influences cited by the guitarist and singer.
The Black Keys were heard most recently on the tribute album Rave On Buddy Holly, where they covered “Dearest.”
